Air Supply乐队资料
Air Supply 在 80 年代成为美国最成功的柔情流行演唱组之一。乐队以创作伙伴 Russell Hitchcock 和 Graham Russell 为核心,于 1976 年成立并很快在本国取得了成功。
1977 年,他们作为 Rod Stewart 的暖场乐队在美国巡回表演 60 天,在大批接受他们摇滚风格的观众面前展现了自己的才华。除 Hitchcock（歌手）和 Russell（歌手／吉他）之外,这支巡回演出乐队还包括 Frank Esler - Smith、Ken Rarick（键盘手）、Wally Stocker（吉他手）、Danald Cromwell（贝司手）和 Ralph Cooper（鼓手）。
在加入 Arista 唱片公司之后,乐队在排行榜上取得了成功。推出的单曲《Lost In Love》在 1980 年一经进入美国市场就立刻造成了轰动,成为当年排行榜第 3 名,并在此后几年一直稳居排行榜前 5 名。单曲《The One That You Love》也问鼎排行榜,成为金唱片。《All Out Of Love》在 1980 年 9 月排名第 11,成为在英国销量最大的单曲。进入美国专辑排行榜的《Lost In Love》（1980）、《The One That You Love》（1981）和《Now And Forever》（1982）都成为金唱片和白金唱片。
1983 年,演唱组的精选集出版,并卖掉了 400 万张。两年后,他们出版了第 4 张专辑《Air Supply》,听众对该专辑的反映比较冷淡,只有“Just As I Am”进入排行榜第 19 名,这是第 1 张没有成为金唱片的专辑。接下来的《Herats In Motion》（1986）依然没有成功,只获得排行榜第 84 名,在这张令人失望的专辑出版不久,Air Supply 宣布解散。
5 年后,Hitchcock 和 Russell 重组 Air Supply,复出后的 Air Supply 先后出版了《The Earth Is…》（1991）、《The Vanishing Race》（1993）和《News From Nowhere》（1995）,但结果是一样——都没有进入排行榜。
